Volunteer / Intern Information What do Volunteers and Interns Do? Volunteer Requirements This information is then provided to a committee who will accept or decline the application. If accepted, the volunteer will set up a schedule for volunteering, as well as agree to participate in the mandatory 16 hour training. The training is a requirement for volunteers working in the shelter, offsite center, or coutrhouse, in contact with clients, working with donations and the public. Intern Requirements Intern Applicants are required to provide us with: a resume, three references, driver's license and social security card, and any pertinent information regarding your internship/practicum obligations, and undergo a background check. After an interview with the prospective Intern, a committee will accept or decline the application. If accepted, the intern will need to sign the Intern Agreement, as well as participate in the mandatory 16 hour training.
