Wants and Needs
Cash Donations—Any Amount
Gift Certificates: From Area Businesses Target, King Soopers, Safeway, Wal-Mart, etc.
Donation Drive: Holiday, Organization
Client Needs: sets of silverware for the women when they leave, kitchen utensils, a good coffee pot, alarm clocks, 8 laundry baskets, 8 dirty clothes hampers, iron, ironing board, hair dryers, bath towels: body, hand and washcloths, pillows, pillow covers.
Food: We are always in need of donated food – non-perishables work best, but we can accommodate perishable foods too! (Rules don’t allow us to take baby food or food without the nutrition labels or expiration dates.)
Cribs: A Woman’s Place needs a few updated cribs with appropriate mattresses. New or used is fine—as long as the cribs meet current safety standards!
Volunteers: A Woman's Place needs volunteers. If possible, we like to pair our volunteers with tasks the volunteer enjoys. We’d be happy with any amount of volunteer time – 5 hours a month to 20 hours a week or more! Just say yes! We do need a male volunteer to work with community teens in Domestic Violence Education.
Legal Advocacy: We need volunteers to assist with legal advocacy. We have an office at the Weld County Courthouse which we use to assist women when filing protection orders. This requires some training—please give us a call!
Adopt-a-Room: We are currently looking for individuals/groups/businesses/churches to adopt-a-room. The adoption would include: painting, pictures, linens etc. Please call for availability and details.
Repairs: We need a repair person! If you, or anyone you know, is handy and can help us with minor repairs, please give us a call.
